New Technics EAH-AZ100 earbuds bring the most authentic sound yet
7 January 2025 – Today, Technics announces the EAH-AZ100, its latest true wireless earbuds, adding to the family of award-winning audio products backed by 60 years of sound engineering and product development. The EAH-AZ100 levels up your sound experience once again with a newly developed, proprietary “Magnetic Fluid Driver” that creates ultra-low distortion, accurate and rich bass, and high-resolution sound for the most authentic, balanced audio that’s true to the original source.
For stress-free communication the EAH-AZ100 newly introduces “Voice Focus AI”, a unique feature that combines an AI noise reduction chip with exclusive tuning and three microphones in each earbud, so that both the person speaking and the one listening benefit from the ultimate call quality experience.
The “Voice Focus AI” feature not only tackles your common call noise frustrations such as busy street traffic, wind or noisy children in the background, but also analyses incoming sound and improves the sound of the caller. Whether it’s a work conference call or conversation with family or a friend, both parties can fully focus on the conversation.
Adaptive Noise Cancelling also brings another performance update to the EAH-AZ100. This technology works with the surrounding environment, background noise levels and the individual shape of your ear — adjusting the level of noise cancelling automatically to the strongest, for the best experience at any time and in any situation. Whether you’re on your commute at a train station or in an office space with multiple colleagues talking around you, the EAH-AZ100 eliminates low to mid-range and human vocal range noises to keep you concentrated in silence.
Experiencing music as the arBst intended
The “Magnetic Fluid Driver” technology has been miniaturised from the renowned Technics EAHTZ700 wired, in-ear monitors for the latest Technics true wireless earbuds. Taking this “Magnetic Fluid” technology from the TZ700’s enables a new level of low-distortion sound for the EAH-AZ100
earbuds, while an ultra-thin free edge ensures an accurate low frequency response for a rich bass reproduction — and an aluminium diaphragm produces natural high resolution sound separation and details.
The “Magnetic Fluid” is an oil-type liquid filled with magnetic particles that is injected into the space between the driver magnet and voice coil that enables low-distortion playback. All this creates a dynamic, rhythmic, detailed listening experience so you can hear your favourite music recordings as
originally intended by the artist.
Taking performance even further, for that feeling of “live music-concert sound”, the EAH-AZ100 also newly integrates with spatial audio optimised for Dolby Atmos®¹. With Dolby Audio™, podcasts, movies, music, and games have enhanced clarity of voice content. And Dolby Head Tracking responds
to head movements, creating a more realistic sound field change, always recalibrating to ensure you are at the centre of the action — offering a 360-degree immersive audio experience.

Premium design and connectivity for convenience
Designed to suit any lifestyle, the EAH-AZ100 also includes award-winning features from previous Technics flagship models. Technics is the first brand to offer 3-device multipoint connectivity — hooking up to the likes of your laptop, tablet and smartphone in minutes. In addition, the EAH-AZ100 makes it even easier to seamlessly switch to whichever device you want to use and can prompt users with announcements of nearby connected devices if you choose.
The concha-fit and shape has also been improved, reducing the size and weight of the earbud for allday comfort whether you are on work calls or enjoying your favourite artist or latest TV series. There is also a new fifth ‘ML’ size ear tip giving the user more choice to help them achieve the best seal, sound quality and noise cancelling performance.
This smaller and lighter design also brings more eco-efficient shipping. Alongside Panasonic’s commitment to reduce its environmental footprint, the latest earbuds come in revamped packaging that is 100% plastic-free that saves on space and weight.
You can also take the hassle and clutter out of charging your true wireless earbuds with compatible Qi Wireless Charging, and battery life has been improved too. With advanced noise cancelling on, the earbuds have up to 10 hours of playback time left out of the case and up to 28 hours with it.
One-touch Conversation Mode has been added too, which pauses music and switches to transparent mode with a focus on the “voice” element so you can converse with others without taking your AZ100 out your ears. Then when you do take your AZ100 out your ears, wearing sensors come in handy to
pause the music and disable the touch sensors to prevent any unwanted controls, and you can simply put them back in to automatically resume music and control.
For the ultimate connectivity, the EAH-AZ100 also supports the new Bluetooth® LE Audio standard and Auracast feature to pair and share your audio experience, as well as the LC3 codec for low-latency audio when gaming and viewing videos. Compatible with Google Fast Pair, Android users can also sync up chosen nearby devices and accessories automatically.
The Technics Audio Connect App is available on iOS or Android devices for easy access to preferences and personalised sound tuning, and convenient features such as location tracking if you misplace your earbuds.
